The semester is over. The week of finals were stressful. I never really worry about finals, the grade in my classes are generally locked in so much as that as long as I don't skip the final, my final grade is the grade I was already paddling on. This semester was different because in all of my classes, I was teetering between two grades. My dedication towards the final made all the difference. I felt that I made out like a bandit due to how the semester was playing out...or playing me out. I received one A and three B's. I always like to get at least two A's, but I'll settle for this. In other academia news, due to an unforeseen (and untold by advisors that were well aware I was transferring seeing as I am in the business-transfer program) academic requirement, I am short on foreign language. I cannot get into my school of choice until I fulfill this requirement. I was planning on working full time this summer, but now I will be spending a substantial amount of time taking summer language. Ultimately, it is my responsibility, but a bummer all the same.
In other news, my brother just bought a new truck and his giving me his Saturn. I just need to put new tires on it, new brake pads, possibly new rotors, and possibly new calipers. Hopefully no more than just pads and tires. My brother is going to take it in and have it looked at then get back to me. Luckily my girlfriend's dad is handy with cars so I just have to buy the parts and the installation is free. I'll definitely have to give him something though.
I am planting a garden. Two types of corn, strawberries, carrots, and pumpkins. I already have 250 sq feet of my backyard designated for it. I was orginally going to get rid of the grass by laying down cardboard boxes, wetting them, and leaving them for a month. Well, cardboard boxes curl hardcore when they dry if you don't have anything holding them down. I decided to burn the cardboard boxes and go to Ace Hardware to buy black tarp-esque material. It is basically like a thick, large garbage bag that I stuck to the ground via garden staples. It worked very effectively and now all I have to do is plant my seeds. The only thing I have growing right now is Salvia Divinorum which is cool because it is kind of intriguing. It is also still legal in the state of Indiana. Haha. And no, I don't smoke it, I just like having it.
There is a squirrel two feet from my window eating something in the bush.
Last but not least, I have found a website that you can sign up for free and make money. It is definitely not something you'll make a lot of money doing, but it isn't a scam by any means. Basically you get paid by looking at ads. Really all you do is click on the ad, but open it in a new tab, let it stay open for 30 seconds (until it says you were paid for the ad at the top), and that's it. If anyone is interested in it, here is the link: [link]
